The Bride, Dressed and Ready!

written by Pastor William Soans

Jesus is coming soon! This is one of the most common phrases we have heard over the last few decades in church. No matter how exciting this sounds, how often have we thought about what it would really look like when Jesus comes. Revelation describes much of the end-time happenings and in 2021 we have seen more signs of this than ever before. At this time, we seem to be on the better side of the current pandemic but who knows what’s next?

I believe we are in the final stages of refining for the bride of Christ. Does this mean we will see Jesus come a second time in our generation? While we cannot be sure about that, it is not the priority! Our urgent assignment is to prepare ourselves to be clothed with hearts and acts of righteousness, which is like fine linen, bright and clean (Rev 19:8). There is no other imperative than this!

One of the greatest strengths of a bride that is ready is that she knows who she is and what her purpose and duties are. The greatest attack on the church today. is on its identity. In fact, not world hunger, not disease, not poverty, but identity is the single greatest attack on humanity today. Many in church struggle with personal identity.

Churches are locked up and homes are shut but God is calling you and I for the greatest season of preparation for the Bride of Christ.

Where do you stand on all of this? How prepared is your heart? If Jesus were to come today, would you be a part of the bride that has prepared herself in purity and righteousness? There is much to become and much to be done. It is time to fold up our sleeves and begin to

ready each other for the time is drawing near.

Revelation 21:2 NIV - I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

Blessings for the week to come!
